Yet all organisations have to be aware and comply with the obligations this creates.
Where companies have limited, or no, in-house HR resources a lack of appropriate policies, training and (above all) knowledge may actively support claims of unfair treatment, discrimination or harassment that may arise. Whilst no business wants to be over-burdened with HR procedures, it nevertheless must have certain basic systems in place.
We can provide these for you, and give you practical advice and training to avoid common pitfalls. This may include the provision of HR policies and procedures, employee handbooks, offer letters, contracts and support with immediate staff concerns: grievances, disciplinary and capability issues, trade union disputes, investigations and appeals. Keeping organisations compliant with employment law and up to date on current HR developments and key tribunal judgments is all part of our service.
We also assist with more structural items such as reviewing pay and grading systems, talent management and organisational design.
Services are offered on either a retained basis, from as little as one half day per month, to ad hoc assistance with specific employment issues. It our intention in all such instances, however, to build ongoing and lasting relationships with our clients.
